Sarah Chambers
I admire Sarah’s sense of freedom. You are able to see her
appreciation for independence in everything she does, and everything she
aspires to be. She wishes she could fly, as flying ultimately offers freedom,
but she is able to obtain a similar feeling through running. She runs anytime
she gets the chance, and wherever she gets the chance. Ironically, she is
seldom on time for anything, but this could be just a consequence of her
unfortunate organization problem. This, her only flaw, speaks to her motivation
to balance many things at a time. Sarah is not only applying herself to school,
but also acting and studying Chinese. Recently, she has taken up photography as
well. She enjoys photography because it gives her the freedom she is constantly
chasing. She wanted to use her
opportunity our electives offer to try something new. She has told me she wants
to give her pictures a sense of purpose, fitting for a girl who seems to have
such purpose in her life. She aspires to travel the world, and study
international business. I have no doubt that her motivation, which I find stems
from her sense of freedom, will allow her to succeed in whatever course she may
pursue. This picture portrays the essence of Sarah. Although she is shy, she faces life head on. She not only a dreamer, but a doer.
