Motion Final

Chrono

I really enjoyed this project due to the variety of ways you are able to shoot motion. My favorite shot is the panning, because I really like the clarity of the subject, and the blur in the background draws attention to the subject. My least favorite is the writing with light. I really like the concept and the way some photos look, but it was very hard to get a clear image if the photographer wants to include a human subject. I had to experiment with different apertures, isos, and shutter speeds.

Motion Plan

Blurred Subject

For blurred subject I need to have a slower shutter speed. I plan on doing it outside on a swing set, so my iso needs to be lower.

Panning

I plan on doing this shot on a play ground outside, so my iso needs to be lower. My shutter speed should be faster.

Freeze Motion

I want to take frozen motion of a liquid. I will need a very fast shutter speed and probably a lower iso if I am working in a lighter room.

Zooming

I plan on using a flower or patterned picture for the zooming. I will use bulb shutter speed and a lower iso.

Writing with Light

I want to use christmas lights to create a dotted effect in the back ground. I should use a higher iso and bulb shutter speed. I will use the highest aperture I can.

Writing with Light Group Experiment

I worked with Francis and Sarah. I liked this assignment a lot and I can see a lot of potential in writing with light. We used a aperture of 4.5 and iso 400. We used "bulb" setting and held the shutter open for as long as we needed it. Next time I will make sure to focus the camera in the light before taking the picture to limit blur of the subject.
